A showreel is a type of digital CV, which takes the form of a short video that shows snippets of your best work edited together to be around 2-5 minutes long. Showreels are viewed by potential employers, such as producers, casting directors, and agents to see if you are a good fit for the role or job.
One of the most important things about an actor’s showreel is that it should include a collection of a performer’s best performances. These clips should also be entertaining! If a showreel is not captivating enough, it could lead to casting directors not wanting to watch the rest of it, and you may lose out on job offers.
