TERMS & CONDITIONS
General
Slick Showreels brand control insists that all crew will be supplied internally from Slick Showreels. It is not acceptable for any crew to be brought in from outside of the Slick Showreels staffing administration.
Slick Showreels brand control insists that any scripts created by the company’s in house writers must not be produced by any other company or individual.
Slick Showreels retains 100% and absolute copyright of all showreels.
No footage will be supplied to the client(s) unedited and no raw material (rushes) can be edited externally of Slick Showreels. Clients will each receive a finalised edited showreel that has been edited internally within Slick Showreels staffing administration.
By making a showreel with Slick Showreels you are agreeing that it will be used for showreel purposes only and under no circumstances will be used for (including but not limited to) commercial or marketing purposes of any kind.
Payments
In order to reserve a booking for a showreel a non-refundable deposit has to be made and cleared in the account of Slick Showreels. Only then will the filming be processed and booked into the system for further development. Deposits are charged at £150+VAT for basic packages, £200+VAT for the Reel+One and Slick Back & Relax packages and £300+VAT for the Ultimate Package.
Slick Showreels reserves the right to not refund any deposit.
Full payment is to be received before the filming in question. This balance must be cleared into the account of Slick Showreels before 6pm the day before the filming date that is booked in with the client(s) or Slick Showreels reserve the right to cancel the filming date without refunding the clients deposit.
Slick Showreels reserves the right to not show any persons filming material of any kind until the balance for the filming material in question has been paid for in full and has cleared and shown up into the account of Slick Showreels. Slick Showreels reserves the right to not refund any client(s) upon request.
Preproduction
Scripts will be invoiced by Slick Showreels along with the client(s) deposit. Scripts are valued at £35+VAT for 1 script or £99+VAT for 3 scripts.
If providing your own scripts they must be no longer than 2 pages in a typical screenplay format.
Slick Showreels can provide supporting actors for clients. Actor fees are charged at £45+VAT per actor, per scene. This will be invoiced along with showreel fee prior to the clients shoot.
The client is responsible for any supporting actors they provide for their scenes and must accept schedules can be liable to change at any notice. Therefore Slick Showreels encourage showreel clients to ensure their supporting actors are available all day for the filming date.
Production
Our filming services are based on 1 and a half hours filming per scene for Standard Showreels and 2 hours per scene for Premium Showreels. However, longer filming requirements are negotiable for bespoke rates. The showreel fee covers all filming to take place on the same day unless agreed upon prior to booking, whereby an additional fees occur.
Post Production
Slick Showreels reserves the right to determine whether a reshoot should or should not take place; this based upon the client(s) not being satisfied with their showreel because of an error from Slick Showreels. Slick Showreels reserves the right to refuse a re-shoot free of charge, or a refund for either the deposit or the full amount paid for the showreel in question.
On receiving the showreel the client(s) is given 7 days to respond with technical or creative notes that are to be given to the assigned editor. Each client is entitled to as many notes as they wish, under the express understanding that all notes have to be given at once through our Notes Guide, After these changes have been made or the 7 day period has elapsed Slick Showreels reserves the right to to charge each client will incur a fee of £50+VAT in order for the editor to make any more changes. This fee pays for another re-edit, on the strict understanding the notes are sent all inclusive in one email at one time. If the process is needed to be repeated each re-edit will incur a fee of £50+VAT per client.
To add existing footage to a showreel from scratch the cost is £99+VAT. This is to be paid during the editing of the clients showreel.
Slick Showreels do not keep the raw camera and sound files (rushes) for longer than a period of 6 months. Slick Showreels are not responsible for the loss of archived footage shot over the period of 6 months from the date of filming. Slick Showreels will only keep archived footage of any kind for 6 months.
For existing showreel edit clients, if the payment for a showreel has not been received within 10 working days after the due date set on the invoice in question, Slick Showreels reserve the right to remove the free re-edit and a cost of £50+VAT per re-edit will be incurred for any charges needed.
For headshots, clients receive 3 edited photos from their session with the option to purchase more for £10+VAT per photo.
Cancellations and Postponements
In the event that you need to postpone your booking you must provide us with 14 days notice. Anything under 14 days you would need to pay a new deposit to secure the new shoot date. However, if your booking can be kept to the same calendar month this fee can be waived.
Any cancellations or postponements where locations/crew/actors/writers and the likewise have already been paid or had work undertaken for prior to filming will be subject to these fees irrespective of the future booking date, even in the event of full cancellations.
In the event that you have to cancel or postpone your shoot within 24 hours of filming, fees up to the value of your full package might be incurred.
Slick Showreels reserves the right to postpone a booking at any point.
For clients that make a booking to films within 7 days must anticipate there is an increased chance of the shoot being postponed due to crew/actor/location availability or script completion. Slick Showreels will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible but are not liable for any postponements.
